PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet head in which a highly reliable insulating film for insulating an electrode on the inner surface of an ink chamber and ink is formed stably without lowering the yield of the ink jet head. SOLUTION: The process for manufacturing an ink jet head comprising a base member 1 having a plurality of channel grooves 4 separated from each other by channel walls 3, and a cover member 2 covering the upper side of the plurality of channel grooves where the surface of the channel walls 3 is covered with an electrode 5 at least partially comprises a step for forming a first organic film 201 to cover the electrode 5, a step for bonding the cover member 2 to the base member 1, and a step for forming a second organic film 202 to cover the inner surface of the plurality of channel grooves 4.
