PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of realizing common color reproduction between a plurality of devices and fine adjustment for color reproduction. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 1 performs color matching by color gamut compression between an image display apparatus 2 having a predetermined color gamut and each of a plurality of image output apparatuses 3 having color gamuts different from that of the apparatus 2 and having color gamuts different from each other. The apparatus 1 is provided with a reading means (18) for reading a target color of the apparatus 3 which is preset with respect to a predetermined color in the apparatus 2; a hue line setting means (6) capable of arbitrarily setting a common hue line on the basis of the hue angle of each target color; and a control color calculating means (8) for calculating a control color being a color after subjected to color gamut compression in the common hue line with respect to the predetermined color, on the basis of the color gamut of the apparatus 3 and each of the above target color.
