PURPOSE: Provided are an apparatus and a method for controlling a kimchi refrigerator through the internet by downloading various kimchi maturing programs from an Internet web site and then applying them to a product, thereby reducing production cost, controlling and providing various kimchi maturing programs in accordance with a user's preference and improving usability. CONSTITUTION: The control apparatus for kimchi refrigerator(35) via the internet contains a receiving unit for receiving an internet kimchi maturing program provided through the internet; a control unit for storing the input internet program and then controlling kimchi maturation thereby; and a load driving part for forming the interior condition to mature kimchi by the control unit. Therefore, the kimchi maturing program is transmitted to the kimchi refrigerator though a data conversion and transfer part(23) and a data transmission cable(30).
