PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method and an evaluating apparatus for viscosity of fluid substance that are simple and precise, low in manufacturing cost and running cost, small in variation in result depending on measuring persons, and can be suitably used for process management in a factory. SOLUTION: The method and the apparatus are characterized in that the fluid substance is stored in a vessel, where a hole having a specific diameter is punched at the bottom. The stored fluid is flowed down continuously from a hole having a specific diameter, the flow-down speed of the fallen fluid substance is measured, thus evaluating the viscosity in the fluid substance depending on the level of the measured falling speed.
