PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for suppressing the deterioration in image quality. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 2 forms a toner image after forming an electrostatic latent image. To electrify the photoreceptor drum 2, an electrifying device 3 is provided which has low resistance and installed facing, by leaving a specified electrifying gap g, to the photoreceptor drum 2 which is rotated at a rotational velocity Vp. The photoreceptor drum 2 electrification is performed by applying electrifying bias where an AC voltage of frequency F and peak voltage value of Vac is superposed on DC voltage. The parameters Vac, g, F and Vp are set so that an inequality (0.0621 (Vac-12.4(g-40))-42.1)(900/F)(Vp/130)<ΔV is satisfied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
