<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique which enhances azimuth resolution with simple formation, without upsizing and complicating an antenna and increasing its cost. <P>SOLUTION: Two or more primary detection regions A-I are scanned switching beam widths and beam directions of the antenna. The primary detection regions A-I are formed so that one detection region overlaps some of the other detection regions. On the basis of respective detection results of the primary detection regions, subregions (some of secondary detection regions (1)-(14)) corresponding to regions obtained by removing regions which correspond to the sum set of detection regions where no detection objects are detected, from regions which correspond to the product set of primary detection regions where detection objects have been detected, are specified as azimuths where the detection objects exist. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
