SYSTEM HAVING SCREEN AND EXTERNAL POWER UNIT FOR SUPPLYING DC POWER

PURPOSE: A system having a screen and an external power unit is provided to operate the screen only when the system is accompanied with the proper power unit. CONSTITUTION: The system includes the screen(1) such as a flat panel screen and the external power unit(2) supplying the DC power to the screen by connecting to the screen through a plug connector(5). The power unit is equipped with a signaling tool(6) signaling an operation parameter. The screen is equipped with a comparing tool(8) comparing the signaled operation parameter with the stored operation parameter, and error signaling tools(9-11) connected to the comparator in order to indicate the undesirable discordance between the signaled operation parameter and the stored operation parameter.
