PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric having biodegradability, soft feeling, good mechanical strength and good dimensional stability, especially to stably provide the nonwoven fabric suitable for medical and hygienic goods because of the characteristics, and to provide the medical and hygienic goods having the characteristics. SOLUTION: The biodegradable nonwoven fabric is obtained by mixing a core-sheath type fiber A consisting of a core component comprising a biodegradable resin having a high melting point, and a sheath component comprising a biodegradable resin having a melting point lower than that of the core component, with a fiber B comprising the same biodegradable resin having the high melting point as the core part of the fiber A, and partially pressure-bonding the fibers.
