PURPOSE: An emergency braking unit of a brake system for a vehicle is provided to execute stable braking by remarkably increasing the operating force of a brake pedal and forming hydraulic pressure without boosting action of vacuum pressure when the vacuum pressure supplied to a booster is very weak or doesn't exist. CONSTITUTION: An emergency braking unit of a brake system for a vehicle comprises a brake pedal(BP) turnably fixed to a vehicle body part; a booster(B) receiving vacuum pressure from a surge tank forming vacuum, through a vacuum line(P) in operating the brake pedal, and boosting the force given to a master cylinder(M) producing hydraulic pressure; and a varying unit(1) differentiating the operating force of the brake pedal according to the vacuum pressure supplied through the vacuum line connected to the surge tank and transmitting the operating force to the booster. The varying unit comprises a pressing member(2) comprising a pair of first and second yoke rods(2',2'') combined to the brake pedal with spacing; first and second push rods(3,3') protruded from the booster, to receive the operating force of the brake pedal by the pressing member; and a connecting member(4) selectively interconnecting the first and second yoke rods and the first and second push rods according to the vacuum pressure.
