PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an article having a retroreflective region in a pattern having high retroreflective property with high productivity. SOLUTION: The method includes: a process (a) of applying a resin ink 22 in a pattern on the surface of substrates 12, 14; a process (b) of spraying transparent beads 24 on the surfaces of the substrates 12, 14 having the resin ink layer 22 before the patterned resin ink layer 22 formed in the process (a) is solidified; a process (c) of eliminating the transparent beads 24 except for the transparent beads sticking to the resin ink layer 22 of the transparent beads 24 sprayed in the process (b); and a process (d) of solidifying the resin ink layer 22.
