PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint cover device having a simple structure and capable of being easily installed, absorbing swing and movement of buildings on the left and right sides even when the buildings swing and move greatly in the different directions due to earthquake, and being comparatively inexpensively manufactured. SOLUTION: This joint cover device is provided with a joint cover on one side attached through a hinge member so as to turn up to a substantially vertical condition on a joint part side wall face of the building on one side, a joint cover on the other side attached to a bottom face of a tip part of the joint cover on one side through a hinge member and supported on a support member on a joint part side wall face of the building on the other side, and a plurality of expansible or slidable central maintenance links whose both end parts are pivotally supported on side wall faces on the left and right sides below the joint cover on the other side. This joint cover device is provided with support pieces attached to central parts of the central maintenance links, respectively, and supporting a rear end part of the joint cover on the other side and a joint cover turn arm on the other side in which a tip part of the joint cover on the other side is abutted on a joint part side wall face or the support member of the building on the other side. Furthermore, this joint cover device is provided with a joint cover support device on the other side which becomes a guide whose one end is fixed to an upper part of the support member, whose other end part is wound in a winding device in the building on one side, and in which a tip part of the joint cover on the other side can be returned to the upper part of the support member.
