<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mobile terminal equipment which enables its internal sound source circuit to be used by external equipment such as a key board and a PDA (personal digital assistant). <P>SOLUTION: When keys of the keyboard 3 are operated, MIDI event data based upon the operation are inputted to a CPU 3 of the mobile terminal equipment 1 through interfaces 23 and 11. The CPU 3 converts the MIDI event data into sound source parameters and outputs them to the sound source circuit 7. The sound source circuit 7 receives the sound source parameters to generate and output a musical sound signal to a speaker 8. Consequently, a musical sound corresponding to the operation on the keyboard 2 is generated from the speaker 8. When there is an incoming call, one of an external priority mode wherein sounding allocation of external musical sound data is given priority and an incoming sound priority mode wherein sounding allocation of an incoming sound is given priority is adopted as a sounding number allocation system of the sound source circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
