The terminal comprises clamping frame (11) and clamping screw (18) for compression of connecting conductor against stop, via compression member (22). The clamping screw is fitted to clamping frame in non-displaceable, but rotatable manner. The clamping screw is screwed into inner thread of tube (21), or sleeve, while compression member, and thus also tube, are fitted axially slidable, but not rotatable in clamping frame. Preferably screw head has radially protruding strip (20), rotatably movable in U-shaped reception apertures (30,31) in frame.
