SINGLE FIBER BI-DIRECTIONAL LIGHT TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single fiber bi-directional light transmitting and receiving connector whose alignment and placing are easy and which is at low cost.

SOLUTION: An optical waveguide member 25 having an almost Y letter shaped optical waveguide 36 is mounted either at an optical connector plug 23 or at an optical connector receptacle 24 which interfit each other. A one-conductor bi-directional light transmitting and receiving connector 21 is constituted so as to transmit a light signal via the optical waveguide member 25. The optical waveguide 36 is formed in near Y letter shape provided with a first optical waveguide 39 having an end surface facing the tip side of a ferrule 26 of the optical connector plug 23, and a pair of second optical waveguides 41 connected to the first optical waveguide 39 and has end surfaces facing a light receiving element module 43 and a light emitting element module 44 of the light connector receptacle 24 respectively.
