PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment holding an authentication key for authenticating connection to the other communication equipment at low costs, and to reduce possibility that the authentication key held by the communication equipment is stolen compared with the conventional manner. SOLUTION: A printer 3(digital camera 1) is provided with a non-volatile recording medium such as an EEPROM 13 and a volatile recording medium such as an RAM 15. The printer 3 normally records the pair of a link key with a digital camera 1 being the other party of communication and the BD address of the digital camera 1 in an RAM 15, and records it in an EEPROM 13 only when a bonding mode is set.
