<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored fine particle aqueous dispersion and its production method, by which the colored fine particles having a small particle diameter are obtained in a shortened emulsion time, to provide a water-based ink used for ink jet and having excellent injection stability, and to provide an image-forming method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the colored fine particle aqueous dispersion, comprising emulsifying a solvent containing a colorant and a resin in an aqueous solvent and then removing the solvent to obtain the colored fine particle aqueous dispersion containing the colorant and the resin, is characterized by adding an anionic surfactant having a mol. wt. of ≤1,000 in an amount of 3.0 to 15.0 times the critical micelle concentration of the anionic surfactant in water, when emulsified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
