PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precise and low-priced gear wheel working method and working machine. SOLUTION: In a gear wheel honing work, a transmission error and an elastic effect between a gear wheel 2 to be worked/a grindstone gear wheel 1 and a motor are made very small by directly coupling the driving of the gear wheel 2 to be worked and the grindstone gear wheel 1 with the shaft of the motor, and the cumulative error of the gear wheel 2 to be worked is improved and rectified by the working. A structure is simple and a machine is low-priced. In addition, a meshing position where a working allowance is unified is easily detected by adjusting the driving torque of the axle motor of the gear wheel to be worked and/or that of the grindstone gear wheel while performing meshing rotation of the two gear wheels, thus meshing at the time of working is simplified and ensured. Further, since meshing is enabled while the grindstone gear wheel is continuously rotated, a working cycle time is shortened. In addition, a slip velocity is high, sharpness is improved, and working is precisely performed by setting a crossed axes angle at 15°or more. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
