A press for pressure-shaping the electrical insulation covering 2 on dynamo-electric machine winding conductor bars 1 of rectangular cross-section comprises an hydraulically-operated ram 4 for pressing the wide side of the covering against a fixed support-table 3, an adjustable stop 14 ... 16 for determining the extent of pressing by the ram, and further hydraulically-operated rams 6, 7 for applying a pincer-like pressure perpendicularly to both narrow sides of the bar. As shown, the rams are operated by pistons 13, 20 in cylinders 12, 21 and the pincer-like movement is conveyed to ram 6 by a slide 18 coupled to the rod 19 of piston 20, stroke limitation being effected by a piston-rod nut 24 abutting a stop 25 fixed to the cylinder 21. Compression-springs 26, 27 return the pistons to their rest positions.</p> |
