A triamino triphenylmethane compound with a primary aromatic amine content as determined by high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) below 2000 ppm is new. A triamino triphenylmethane compound of formula (I) with a primary aromatic amine content as determined by high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) below 2000 ppm is new. An Independent claim is also included for the preparation of (I).
