PURPOSE: A method for detecting human HCCR-1 protein and a kit for diagnosing liver cancer using the same are provided, thereby improving the accuracy and reproduction of liver cancer diagnosis, so that liver cancer can be detected in its early stage. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting human HCCR-1 protein comprises the steps of: (1) inserting a testing sample and a control into a reactor coated with an antibody specific to human HCCR-1 protein (GenBank Accession No. AF19561) and reacting them; (2) detecting the antigen-antibody reaction product using a secondary antibody-marker conjugate and a chromophoric substrate solution of the marker; and (3) comparing the results of the testing sample and control. A kit for diagnosing liver cancer comprises (1) a reactor coated with an antibody specific to HCCR-1 protein; (2) a positive control containing HCCR-1 standard antigen and a negative control containing the antiserum of antigen free animals; (3) second antigen conjugate coupled with a marker; (4) a chromophoric substrate solution of the marker; (5) a washing solution; and (6) an enzyme reaction terminating solution.
