LCD USING SPREAD SPECTRUM AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An LCD using a spread spectrum and a driving method thereof are provided to maintain constantly a pulse width of a control signal by synchronizing a spread period of a frequency using a spread spectrum with a horizontal synchronous signal. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes a liquid crystal panel, a spread spectrum circuit, a timing controller, and a liquid crystal panel driver. The liquid crystal panel(12) includes a pixel matrix. The spread spectrum circuit(20) is used for outputting a spread clock signal for spreading a frequency of an input clock signal according to a synchronous period of an inputted horizontal synchronous signal. The timing controller(18) is used for generating control signals having the decided pulse width by using the spread clock signal. The liquid crystal panel driver is used for driving the liquid crystal panel according to the control signals of the timing controller.
