PURPOSE: A headlamp for a vehicle is provided to simultaneously satisfy low beams and high beams with one bulb, apply an HID(High Intensity Discharge Head Lamp) to high beams, reduce the cost, and improve the freedom of design. CONSTITUTION: A headlamp for a vehicle comprises one bulb(2) emitting light of the headlamp; an actuator(4) driving an aiming rod(6) forward and backward by the control of an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,20) according to on/off signals of high beams; and a shield part(10). In the shield part, a center body of rotation(10b) rotatably fastened to the tip of the aiming rod by a pivot(8) and fastened by a hinge is seated to a supporting end(12). The shield part enables selective irradiation of high beams and low beams by selectively opening the light coming from the upper side of the headlamp while rotating according to the driving of the aiming rod.
