A drive element (10) fits in a servo drive and is driven by a servo motor. A driven element (12) fits on part of a steering rack. A friction-tight element in the form of a straining ring limits maximum transferrable torque. The drive element is supported against the driven element by means of a bearing link (22,23) with hardly any friction.
