Corrosion resistant steel consists of alloy components of 0.005-0.2 wt.% carbon, up to 1 wt.% silicon, up to 2 wt.% manganese, up to 0.05 wt.% phosphorus, up to 2 wt.% copper, up to 2 wt.% nickel, 2-9 wt.% chromium, 0.03-1.2 wt.% titanium and/or zirconium, 0.01-0.5 wt.% sulfur, 0.01-0.4 wt.% selenium, up to 0.05 wt.% nitrogen, up to 0.03 wt.% oxygen, and the balance of iron and impurities. Corrosion resistant steel consists of the alloy components of 0.005-0.2 wt.% carbon, up to 1 wt.% silicon, up to 2 wt.% manganese, up to 0.05 wt.% phosphorus, up to 2 wt.% copper, up to 2 wt.% nickel, 2-9 wt.% chromium, 0.03-1.2 wt.% titanium and/or zirconium [Ti% + 0.52(Zr%)], 0.01-0.5 wt.% sulfur, 0.01-0.4 wt.% selenium, up to 0.05 wt.% nitrogen, up to 0.03 wt.% oxygen, and the balance of iron and inevitable impurities. The steel contains titanium-based, zirconium-based, or titanium-zirconium-based compound or compounds containing carbon and sulfur and/or selenium in the conditions, where [S%] is >= 32[C%]/12, and L is greater than 0 and = 0.5. L : 4[C%]/([Ti%]+0.52[Zr%]). |
