The preformed component for the sound absorbing inner lining of a motor vehicle's interior, especially in the region of the roof module, has at least partially hollow components (5) each with at least one opening pointing in the direction of the vehicle's interior to absorb sound waves spreading through it. The openings by their opening planes (7) are generally located parallel to a surface (8) of the preformed component on the vehicle's inner side. The preformed component is constructed as the roof lining or part of a composite roof. The hollow components form a honeycomb structure.
