PAINTED PLATED STEEL SHEET WITH OUTSTANDING ANTI-EDGE CREEP CHARACTERISTICS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the generation and growth of an edge creep, even when a molten Al-Zn alloy-plated steel sheet or a molten Al-Si alloy-plated steel sheet is used as an original sheet for painting by forming an unpainted area or a single layer area for a primer coating film on the surface of an end part of a plated steel sheet. SOLUTION: A coating film 2 composed of a double layer comprising a primer coating film 2u and a face coating film 2t is formed on the Al-Zn alloy-plated layer 2 containing 25-70 mass% of Al or the Al-Si alloy-plated layer containing 12 mass% of Si excepting the surface of the end part. A rust preventive pigment is dispersed in the primer coating film 2u and the unpainted area 4 or the single layer area 6 for a primer coating film preferably with a width L of 1 to 200 mm is formed on the surface of the end part.
