PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate protective fluid for a lithographic printing plate, which contains a hydrophilic polysaccharide free from fluid separation or deposition of a crystal, when stored under a low temperature. SOLUTION: The plate protective fluid for a lithographic printing plate contains a hydrophilic polysaccharide and an isomerase. The method for producing the plate protective fluid for a lithographic printing plate which contains a hydrophilic polysaccharide is characterized in that the method contains a process for adding an isomerase.
