PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packaging sheetlike photosensitive materials with which adhesion of dust etc. can be prevented as far as possible and sheetlike photosensitive materials can be packaged. SOLUTION: As to the photosensitive materials, a laminate whose surface is covered with a protective sheet is packaged with an inner packaging bag and housed in a fitting box. The photosensitive material is packaged through the steps of: a first packaging step in which the protective sheet is packaged; a second packaging step in which an inner packaging bag is packaged; a third packaging step in which the packaged protective sheet and inner packaging bag are unsealed and taken out, and the laminate of the photosensitive materials is covered with the protective sheet, housed in the inner packaging bag, and packaged in a tightly sealed state; and a step in which the resulting package of the sheetlike photosensitive materials is housed in the fitting box. In the first and second packaging steps, the protective sheet and the inner packaging bag are packaged at least doubly using at least two packaging materials, respectively, at least the outermost packaging materials are removed immediately before bringing the packaged protective sheet and inner packaging bag in a work room where the third packaging step is carried out.
