<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for eliminating a written ink image, and an image erasing/recording apparatus with a built-in written ink image eliminating means, which prevent the scattering of an eliminated ink substance, and which enable the written ink image to be surely eliminated when peeling and elimination are intended, though a reversible recording medium is made writable and equipped with adhesion such that the written ink image cannot be easily peeled off, so as to be effectively usable as a substitute for paper. <P>SOLUTION: This method for eliminating the written ink image on the surface of the reversible thermal recording medium is used for eliminating the ink image by making an elimination member linearly abut on the surface of the reversible thermal recording medium and relatively sliding them; and the ink image is formed, by using a writing instrument, on the surface of the reversible thermal recording medium whereon the image can be recorded, displayed and erased by virtue of a temperature change caused by heating. The surface of the reversible thermal recording medium has a dynamic receding contact angle of 75-100° with respect to distilled water. The degree of flexibility is 1.2 or more at least in an abutting part of the elimination member, which is composed of a nonwoven fabric including chemical fibers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
