PURPOSE:To prevent pressure force from reacting to a stator (or a rotor) for supporting a laminated body by providing an elastic member in both end surfaces facing the telescopic direction of the laminated body of a piezoelectric element which is extensible in response to an applied voltage to cancel the pressure force. CONSTITUTION:A stator 2 has a base 21 like a rectangular parallelopiped and an arm part 22, and the tip of a rotor 3 is inserted into a cylindrical part 31 to form an elastic deformation part 24 therein. A laminated body 6 having a plurality of piezoelectric elements 61 laminated is installed between the elastic deformation parts 24, 24. When a voltage is applied to the piezoelectric elements 61 to extend the laminated body 6, the elastic deformation part 24 maintains the state of being in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the inner circumferential part 31 of the rotor 3 and at the same time is displaced and the cylindrical part 31 rotates. Then, since pressure force to deform the two elastic deformation bodies 24, 24 is cancelled, it does not react to the arm part 22, and therefore it is unnecessary to increase the strength of the stator 2, and that the stator 2 can be miniaturized. |
