PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital signal receiving device for reading out packet data in an instant even if a frame period is long. SOLUTION: The device comprises a virtual buffer volume calculating means for calculating a buffer volume expected to be stored in each of a plurality of packet buffers, at a symbol start position, based on a symbol timing signal and a symbol number; and a packet timing generating means for outputting a packet timing signal, and loads the virtual buffer volume into a data storage volume counter of a plurality of packet buffers and monitors the stored volume. The device is further provided with a control means for controlling the stored data, if data is stored in a stream buffer, by sequentially deriving the stored data from the packet buffer with the data of one packet stored therein to the stream buffer, and by monitoring data storage states of the stream buffer by each packet timing signal.
