<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a defective image due to the potential lowering when continuously charging a transfer memory, and to reduce defective transfer under a high humidity environment, as for an electrophotographic system using a positive charging organic photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: When a continuous printing processing starts, a counting operation is started by a counting means 61, and also, instructions to apply a transfer current (normal setting) having the level not causing the defective transfer under the high humidity environment on a transfer roller 19 are given to an apply means 63 by a control means 62. Then, it is discriminated whether the value counted by the counting means 61 reaches the prescribed number of sheets, and when the printing operation for the prescribed number of sheets is not performed yet, further, the normal transfer current is applied, on the other hand, when the printing operation is performed for over the prescribed number of sheets, a current value lower than that at the normal setting is applied on the transfer roller 19 by the application means 63. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
