PURPOSE: A digital camera adopting an image sensing unit thereto is provided to divide light receiving surfaces into a colored sensing portion for receiving colored light and a colorless sensing portion for receiving colorless light, thereby smoothly performing an AF(Automatic Focusing) function in a place with low brightness. CONSTITUTION: An image sensing unit(20) comprises as follows. Light receiving surfaces(20b,20c) have plural pixel sensors regularly arrayed in a 2-dimensional region. A scanning electronic circuit outputs light incident on the pixel sensors as electric image signals. A color filter mosaic(20a) is spaced from the light receiving surfaces(20b,20c) in light incident direction. The light receiving surfaces(20b,20c) of the image sensing unit(20) are divided into the colored sensing portion(20b) and the colorless sensing portion(20c). The colored sensing portion(20b) receives colored light incident by passing through the color filter mosaic(20a). The colorless sensing portion(20c) receives colorless light directly incident without passing through the color filter mosaic(20a).
