The tensioning device (1) for especially a belt drive has a base section (2) connected to a swivel arm (5) by a pivot bearing, and with a torsion spring (11) exerting an axial force on a friction disc (15) fitted between the base section and swivel arm. A form locking, rotationally fixed fastening of the friction disc on a structured support face of a component of the tensioning device is provided. After at least a partial heating of a contact face of the friction disc in connection with an axial force the friction disc is positionally fixed on axially projecting protrusions and/or axis recesses in the support face.
