PURPOSE: An interface device between a PCI bus and a X-bus of a private branch exchange is provided to enable a communication between a control board and a line board by converting a message between the X-bus and the PCI bus. CONSTITUTION: According to the interface device supporting X-bus communication method between a control board(310) of a private branch exchange and an external line board(320), a X-bus transmitter/receiver part(313,314) transmit and receive a X-bus message with the control board. A X-bus control part(312) controls the X-bus message transmitted/received to/from the X-bus transmitter/receiver part. A mother board(330) provides a PCI bus method and has a PCI bus interface part to interface with an external logic. The first bus message conversion part(324) converts the received X-bus message and a sub PCI bus message each other. And the second bus message conversion part(325) converts the sub PCI bus message and the PCI bus message being output from the mother board each other.
