<p>A system for facilitating the exchange of data between one or more price providers (40, 46) and customers (50, 60, 70) who communicate with the price providers (40, 46) through various portals (52, 62, 64, 72, 74, 76), each of which may use its own data format. In transmitting data from customer (50, 60, 70) to price provider (40, 46), the data output from each portal (52, 62, 64, 72, 74, 76) is normalized to a standardized format and then transmitted to the appropriate price provider or providers (40, 46) where the data exchanged with the various portals (52, 62, 64, 72, 74, 76) can be viewed by a trader at a single display or can be exchanged with an automated pricing engine. The customer (50, 60, 70) may also be provided with a universal Web site at which a customer (50, 60, 70) may access any of the portals' Web sites to simplify access for the customer (50, 60, 70) as well.</p> |
