PURPOSE: Provided is an estimation method of sintering behavior, sintering rate, of burned lime according to the temperature change of gas discharged from rotary kin in manufacturing of burned limestone. Accordingly, the method enables to control productivity and combustion for improving quality of burned lime. CONSTITUTION: The method for estimating quality change of burned lime comprises the steps of: (i) feeding limestone into a rotary kiln and measuring the level of limestone fed into a surge hopper of the kiln; (ii) measuring the initial level of limestone stored in a preheater and the temperature of discharged gas continuously without the damage to temperature sensor and the formation of coating; (iii) calculating sintering rate and hydration rate corresponding to the measurement of temperature of discharged gas, 900±50deg.C, and comparing calculated sintering rate to the standard value; (iv) separating high level and low level from the quality of burned lime for setting database(DB) of lime quality, and supplying burned limestone based on the database. The resultant burned lime as a purifier of molten steel is used for manufacturing high purity steel.
