DEVICE FOR REPAIRING AIRFOIL OF COMPRESSOR IN ORIGINAL POSITION WITHOUT DISMANTLING OR REASSEMBLING TURBINE ELEMENTS

PURPOSE: A mechanical manipulator is provided to measure, test and repair an airfoil blade in an original position. CONSTITUTION: A manipulator(20) is installed in an inlet(11) of a compressor and moved around an axis circumferentially. A tool is supported by the manipulator and moved into the inlet of the compressor to a position to be contacted to a selected airfoil by relatively moving against the manipulator. Driving system drive the tool to contact to the selected airfoil. A system controls the driving systems for repairing the selected airfoil. Thereby, the turbine airfoil is repaired in an original position without dismantling or reassembling turbine components.
