PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ester-modified starch-based resin foamed sheet having a low rate of open cells, and an excellent rigidity, and further to provide an ester-modified starch-based resin foamed sheet having the low rate of the open cells, the excellent rigidity and excellent heat formability. SOLUTION: The ester-modified starch-based resin foamed sheet comprises an ester-modified starch-based resin as a main component of a base resin, and has 30-600 kg/cm<SP>3</SP>apparent density, 0.2-10 mm thickness and≤45% rate of the open cells.
