PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wrong feeling of shift quality from giving to passengers by adjusting a speed change ratio of a toroidal type continuously-variable transmission 24 when switching a low speed mode and high speed mode. SOLUTION: A structure adjusting a speed change ratio of a toroidal type continuously-variable transmission 24 is provided so that torque of an output shaft 37a is strictly controlled at an extremely low speed. When disconnecting low-speed and high-speed clutches 39a and 40a used for switching of a low-speed mode and a high-speed mode, a torque adjusting function adjusting a speed change ratio of the toroidal type continuously-variable transmission 24 is stopped. Consequently, adjustment for the speed change ratio of the toroidal type continuously-variable transmission is not carried out in spite of fluctuations of transient torque of the toroidal type continuously-variable transmission 24.
