A foundation pile (1) with a round cross-section has a screw threading protruding from at least part of its periphery (5). Independent claims also included for the following: (a) Foundation element comprising two or more of these piles connected end to end; and (b) Foundation system constructed using these piles or elements, in which the piles are hollow and contain at least one opening so that they can be filled with a filler material under pressure after being sunk into the ground.
