PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding wheel dressing method and device simply setting a grinding wheel oppositely to a dresser roll when dressing, highly precisely dressing it and effectively using a working table upper surface for the grinding of a work. SOLUTION: Grinding wheels 8 and 12 and the dresser rolls 7 and 11 are attached to two spindles 6 and 10 respectively, and a control means moving, at least one of the spindles 6 and 10 in the direction of approaching to/separating from each other and axially is provided. One dresser roll 7 or 11 attached to one spindle 6 or 10 is made to abut on the grinding wheel 12 or 8 attached to the other spindle 10 or 6 to each other by the control of the control means, so that the grinding wheel 12 or 8 is dressed by the rotation movement of the both spindles 6 and 10.
