PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify external power connecting operation and simplify a structure while avoiding erroneous connection in an auxiliary power unit device usable for temporarily operating an actuator when the actuator becomes inoperative due to the failure of a hydraulic pressure supply source capable of supplying hydraulic oil to the single-acting hydraulic actuator through a hydraulic pipe. SOLUTION: This auxiliary power unit device comprises a hydraulic pump P and a tank T, an oil supply/discharge passage Lu having one end connected to the discharge side of the pump, a connection means J capable of connecting the other end of the passage Lu to a hydraulic pipe L, a return oil passage Ld communicating the oil tank T to the passage Lu, a normally closed electromagnetic open/close valve V installed in the return oil passage Ld, an electric motor M driving the hydraulic pump P, and an energization control means C controlling the energization of the motor M and the electromagnetic open/close valve V. The control means C comprises a single power supply input part I, a voltage converting means RE capable of converting a dc voltage inputted into the input part I to a specified voltage and outputting the converted voltage, a normally open electromagnetic open/close means X opening and closing between the output side of the converting means RE and the input side of the electric motor M and selector switches S1 and S2.
