The invention concerns the use of 8-hydroxyquinoline 7-carboxylic acid derivatives for making integrase inhibiting medicines, capable of blocking viral replication at the stages preceding integration, and as the case may be at said integration stage, said medicines being usable for the treatment of retroviral pathologies, in particular for treating AIDS.
