PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program information sending system which enables CATV stations to send program information for distribution broadcasts including independent broadcasts, in an SI system from all the stations, without being accompanied by a great equipment burden. SOLUTION: A program information provider 10 makes SI information of common services and independent services of all CATV stations and an NIT having a service list of at least the common services, converts the information into TP packets, and sends out them. The CATV station 30 generates an NIT for its own station having its own station service list, replaces its own station NIT with a received NIT from the program information provider; multiplexes; and sends out the own station NIT, the SI information received from the program information provider, video-audio information of the common services to be broadcast by own station, and video-audio information of the independent services. The CATV station 30 can distribute program information of own station services including independent services in the all-station SI system, by having only a means 61 for generating the own station NIT.
