PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing an ionic material, applicable to a method for producing a material for an ionic conductor suitable for forming an electrochemical device by which the contamination with impurities affecting ion conductivity is reduced. SOLUTION: This method for producing the ionic material having an anion represented by formula (1) [wherein, X is at least one kind of element selected from B, C, N, O, Al, Si, P, S, As and Se; M<SP>1</SP>and M<SP>2</SP>are the same or different, and each an organic linking group; Q is an organic group; (a) is an integer of≥1; and (b), (c), (d) and (e) are each an integer of≥0] involves a step for introducing the ionic material from a compound having the anion represented by formula (1).
