PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having excellent cold-accumulation effect, strength to physical impact, durability, etc., by compounding a specific vinyl monomer with a specific water-soluble polyfunctional vinyl monomer or its metallic salt, a photopolymerization initiator and water and irradiating the composition with ultraviolet radiation CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) one or more monomers selected from (meth)acrylamide, N,N-dimethyl acrylamide and (meth)acrylic acid (salt) with (B) one or more compounds selected from N,N-methylenebisacrylamide and trimethylolpropane triacrylate or one or more metallic salts selected from calcium chloride, aluminum sulfate and soldium aluminate, (C) a photopolymerization initiator capable of generating radical by he action of ultraviolet radiation (e.g. benzoin propyl ether, etc.) and (D) water to obtain an aqueous solution of monomers having a concentration of preferably 10-40wt% and irradiating the solution with ultraviolet radiation of 300-400nm wavelength and 10-50w/m<2> intensity. |
