STORAGE BODY FOR OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTION SLEEVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage body for optical fiber connection sleeve that makes it possible to easily and speedily make a connection in a narrow place with high site operation efficiency and reliability by using an inexpensive device and a connecting member. SOLUTION: The storage body comprises: a base 6 which stores a connection sleeve 5 for connecting optical fibers 1a and 1b in an abutting state; and a lid member 7 fitted to the base 6, and the connection sleeve 5 is put in a storage space formed of the base 6 and lied member 7 and sealed with a bonding sealant 8. The connection sleeve 5 is preferably bonded and fixed to the base 6 in advance for manufacture. Further, the connection sleeve 5 is made of metal. Consequently, the component constitution comprising two components which are the base 6 and lid member 7 makes setting extremely easy, so field operations are facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
