PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air blast device and an air blast work method efficiently and uniformly blast-working a complicated-shape workpiece. SOLUTION: This air blast device is provided with a working table 1 rotating with its retaining the workpiece and a blast nozzle 2 blasting a grinding material toward the workpiece on the working table 1. The blast nozzle 2 is attached to a swing mechanism 20 to reciprocatingly swing over the workpiece, which circulates retained by the work table 1, perpendicularly to the tangential direction of the circumference of the work table, a speed control mechanism adjusting the rotating speed of the working table 1 corresponding to the blasting position of the swinging blast nozzle 2 is connected to the working table 1 and the air blast work is performed while constantly uniformly controlling the passing speed of the workpiece relative to the swinging blast nozzle 2.
