The assembly (1) for the production of compound strip materials has an isotherm chamber (2), where a steel strip (3) passes through continuously. A pouring unit (4) within the chamber is over the moving strip, to deliver a molten covering material (5). Side strips (11,12) move through the chamber with the steel strip, to prevent the applied molten covering escaping at the edges.
